Brisbane
Brisbane ist die Hauptstadt in Queensland. Die Stadt benannt nach Sir Thomas Brisbane und dem gleichnamigen Fluss, Brisbane River, welcher sich durch die Stadt schlängelt. Die Stadt ist ca. 30 km von der Küste entfernt, die nächsten Strände sind ca. in 40 – 60 min erreichbar. Bekannt wurde die Stadt auch mit der Weltausstellung im Jahre 1988. Das Gelände der Weltaustellung ist nun ein sehr schöner Park genannt South Bank. Schöne Aussichtspunkte auf die Stadt hat man vom Kangaroo Point und Mt. Cootha etwas ausserhalb der Stadt. Die Stadt besticht durch die überschaubare Grösse, sowie das ganzjährliche angenehme subtropische Klima. Hier einige Fakten zur Stadt:
